On the first weekend of 2014, for the 32nd time since 1982, the world gathers to play one of the most prestigious tournament of all. Welcome to the Swedish Masters in Baltiska Hallen, Malmö, Sweden, part of the Big Six tournaments and the World Table Hockey Tour.
Malmö is Sweden’s third largest city by population after Stockholm and Gothenburg, and is one of the largest cities in Scandinavia. Malmö is located in the vibrant Øresund Region, 24 minutes by train from the Copenhagen Airport (CPH), Kastrup, the main international airport serving a large part of southern Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark. Swedish Masters 2014 have joined forces with The Ice Hockey World Junior Championship and the city of Malmö to create an unforgettable table hockey weekend.
The Swedish Masters 2014 will span over three days, but two for most. On January 3rd players who have never participated in an ITHF-sanctioned tournament will play a qualification tournament where they will be able to qualify for the main event. Participants who are previously ranked will join the tournament on January 4th when the main event commences. The tournament will conclude on the 5th with playoffs. You can find all the details on the Swedish Masters webpage.
